
A group project for Billy Blue College of Design that consisted of five people including myself. As a team we worked together on promoting domestic travel within Australia aimed specifically at energetic young adults.
The concept was to create a social website where users could visually mark out where they have travelled to within Australia and share it amongst friends, family and like-minded travellers. There would also be ongoing competitions and promotions that would use the campaign's bunyip mascot, Yippi.
Yippi was a large part of the campaign and one of my main responsibilities as he needed to appeal to both male and female in our target age group as well as embody our campaign and Australia. That is why the mythical Australian bunyip was chosen as it also represents the unknown and exciting elements of Australia. His design was then inspired by the many unique Australian fauna such as echidnas, crocodiles, wombats and koalas; while his colours are inspired by the coastline.
